PVAMU’s Music Program offers a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music with the following concentrations:  EC-12 Teacher Certification, General and Performance for voice, instrumental, and piano majors. Bachelor of Arts in Music – General Concentration

The Bachelor of Art in Music curricula is designed for those seeking a broad-based education in music and requires that students complete a minor in another program. In addition to the below semester credit hour requirements, students are required to perform one solo recital which is evaluated by a faculty panel, pass a piano proficiency exam, and attend a set number of seminars. Students are also evaluated at the end of the sophomore year in music theory and applied performance in order to qualify for upper-level courses in music.
