Mission: The mission of the First-Year Experience (FYE) program at Prairie View A&M University is to ensure every new Panther is equipped with the support and guidance needed to successfully transition into university life and build a strong foundation for their academic journey.

The First- and Second-Year Experience (FYE & SYE) is a collaborative initiative that engages faculty, staff, student leaders, and campus partners in a coordinated network of support. Through peer mentoring, early outreach, and close coordination with university resources, we ensure each new Panther receives the guidance and connection needed to succeed from their first year through graduation
