Academic advising is completed during New Student Orientation for freshmen and transfer students. Please note that freshmen do not have the opportunity to choose their own courses, but the appropriate courses will be assigned by a professional advisor based on the student’s degree plan. Parents are not allowed to accompany their student during the academic advising session. The advisor will ensure that a student’s schedule is revised/updated based on any verifiable coursework previously completed prior to enrollment. Transfer students should ensure that their transcripts are sent to the University in a timely manner to have courses articulated prior to NSO.
