College of Nursing

Prairie View A&M University College of Nursing continues to stand out as a fervent exemplar in educating professional nurses for now and well into the future. The college has over 100 years of making a difference in defining and actualizing a positive experience for many fine women and men who choose to enter the nursing profession. Transcending the challenge of time, our nursing graduates have extensively contributed to the quality and excellence of health care delivery throughout Texas, the nation and the world.

Transfer students accepted to Semester I for Upper Division Clinical Studies, the LVN-BSN or the RN-BSN Programs in Houston, will receive additional orientation from the faculty and staff on the  Houston campus. This orientation will include introductions to students, faculty, and staff; and an overview of nursing education, policies, attire and culture at Prairie View A&M College of Nursing and clinical settings. A tour of the nursing campus, scheduling of classes, and other information for the upcoming semester will also be provided during the orientation.
