What does it mean that I have to be on a wait list for a resident permit?

Each residential zone is a controlled area allowing residents to park closer to the residence they reside in. Parking is limited, so a wait-list prioritizes parking assignments.

I went to my parking account but did not see an option for a resident parking permit. How can I get a resident parking Permit?

Only students assigned to student housing can purchase a resident permit. For any issues, please call our office at 936-261-1701.

Where can I park with my resident parking Permit?

Residential Permits allow for parking within your designated housing unit as defined on the permit.  Residential permits holders must park at their assigned resident parking lot between the peak hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm during normal university work days. During peak hours a resident may also park in Lot#95 (behind Hobart-Taylor Hall). During off-peak hours, weekends and holidays, resident permit holders may park in any orange commuter designated lot on campus. Please refer to the resident parking map to view resident (green) parking zones

I live in the town-homes and am authorized two parking spaces, must I purchase two residential parking permits?

No.  The resident affiliated with the university must purchase the appropriate faculty, staff, student or restricted permit to park on campus.  The second vehicle may not park on campus while the first vehicle is parked on campus between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday-Friday (peak hours).  On campus is defined as anywhere on campus that is not your assigned town-home parking.  The second vehicle may purchase a visitor pass and park in a visitor parking lot during peak hours.  ACC will provide a special town-home sticker to affix on the vehicle showing that you are allowed to park at the town-homes.
