Citations and Virtual E-Citations – How are citations issued?
If a vehicle is found to be in violations of PVAMU vehicle regulations, it is subject to citation.

  • Citations for PVAMU Students and Employees will be emailed electronically as a “E-Citation” to the PVAMU email address on file. Courtesy notifications reminding students and employees will also be emailed. Notifications and citations can be viewed on the student’s or employee’s parking account.
  • Citations for visitors and others not registered or affiliated with the University, the citation is affixed to the violator’s vehicle windshield.   Though the Parking Enforcement Officers make every effort to securely affix the citation, Parking Management is not responsible for citations that may be removed by other individuals or that have blown away by wind or rain.
  • Permit fraud (including using fictitious registration information, vehicle information or displaying a fraudulent permit) will result in the automatic suspension of parking privileges and referral to the University Student Conduct (for students).  Staff, faculty & students may be referred to the UPD for permit fraud.
  • Citations may be issued by University Police Department for parking violations.
