Four Prairie View A&M University faculty and administrators attended the 2015 Institute on Quality Enhancement and Accreditation, July 19-22, in Kissimmee, Florida. The 11th Annual Institute highlighted successful assessment practices and initiatives for improving student learning. The institute was designed for individuals interested in maintaining a culture of continuous quality improvement.

As noted by SACSCOC, major topics addressed were:

  • Research related to fostering and assessing student achievement in postsecondary education.
  • National trends on student attainment and college completion.
  • Assessment resources and tools to facilitate the improvement of institutional practices.
  • Ways to align the curriculum with instruction and assessment.
  • Concepts to enhance student learning through the implementation of quality enhancement initiatives.
