The Office of Graduate Studies is launching a new, required Thesis/Dissertation/Doctoral Project process and forms for all PVAMU theses, dissertations, and doctoral projects. The new process will standardize and automate the forms and processes for all PVAMU theses, dissertations, and doctoral projects. The changes include: (1) a new thesis/dissertation/doctoral project manual that fully captures expectations for graduate scholarship; (2) new forms and the 8-step process clearly outlined on the Graduate Studies website; and (3) an automated SharePoint system for thesis/dissertation/doctoral project committee chairs to upload and track all pertinent forms.

Required Trainings

Training for Graduate Faculty: There will be several scheduled trainings to introduce the new system and process to full and associate member graduate faculty who are current or potential committee chairs. The new system will include a SharePoint portal which requires all thesis/dissertation/doctoral project committee chairs to upload and track all pertinent forms for each student.

Training will be conducted by Hassan Abbasi, CITE Project Manager, and will occur on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month (January 13 through April 28). All full and associate graduate faculty members will receive an email from Hassan Abbasi with an invitation to register for a training session.
