About the discussion:

Are you a graduate student or postdoc interested in exploring a faculty career? Please join us on a Zoom call to meet and speak with Dr. Donathan Brown, Assistant Provost and Assistant VP for Faculty Diversity and Recruitment at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Dr. Brown will be discussing faculty and fellowship opportunities at RIT, including the renowned Future Faculty Career Exploration Program. He’ll also share advice on compiling an competitive faculty application and making the move from graduate student to assistant professor.

Dr. Brown obtained his Ph.D. from Texas A&M, served as a U.S. Fulbright Professor, and is a tenured faculty member at RIT. As a leader of RIT faculty recruitment and advancement efforts, he places particular emphasis on recruiting historically underrepresented faculty and providing strategic guidance to support retention related efforts, such as professional development, mentoring, academic diversity and equity, work-life policies, and other climate issues.
