00I’m excited to share that Dr. Anthony S. Fauci will be the CON’s Spring 2025 Leadership Lecture speaker!

Dr. Fauci will be joining us via webinar on March 4, 2025, from 12-1p.  The event titled: Leading with Vision and Passion: Dr. Anthony Fauci on Global Health and Leadership Development will be in the form of a fireside chat format with interdisciplinary questions being posed by students and faculty across campus.  The CON Leadership Lecture series Health Care, Education & Stakeholders: Views from Diverse Nurse Leaders supports the University’s overall mission, vision and values as well as the CON’s vision of reducing the social determinants of health, improving health equity and educating the next generation of diverse nurse leaders.  The event is open to all PVAMU students, faculty and staff as well as alumni and our community partners. 

As an internationally and nationally respected public health leader Dr. Fauci is known for his commitment to advancing medical knowledge, promoting health equity, and advocating for evidence-based practice. He has consistently highlighted the importance of addressing health disparities and promoting equity in healthcare. Dr. Fauci advocates for a diverse healthcare workforce, recognizing that it enhances cultural competence and improves patient outcomes. Although he is not a nurse, his vision and leadership has had a profound impact on patient care, health policy and the nursing profession.

I invite you to register for the webinar and encourage all of our students to register and participate. We have reserved a few spaces for group viewing. CON faculy , staff, and students can view the webinar in the CON auditorium for CON student and faculty to view together, Julius Becton auditorium has been reserved for main campus students and faculty to watch in a group. We will provide additional details as they become available. Alternatively, individuals will be able to log in on personal devices.
