Financial Counselors at PV: How They Support Graduate Students?
Financial counselors play a vital role in guiding students toward financial stability and academic success. Their responsibilities include:
- Financial Literacy Education: Helping students develop budgeting, saving, and investing skills to make informed personal finance decisions.
- Academic and Financial Aid Support: Collaborating with academic advisors to suggest strategies that help students meet satisfactory academic progress (SAP) requirements for financial aid retention.
- Financial Aid Guidance: Providing outreach, counseling, and assistance on financial aid programs, eligibility, financing options, billing questions, payment plans, University policies, and overall financial wellness.
- FAFSA/TASFA Assistance: Assisting students in resolving conflicting information related to FAFSA/TASFA completion, investigating unusual circumstances, and working with university officials to implement appropriate resolutions.
- University Collaboration: Serving as key partners to internal stakeholders to enhance student financial success.
