Professional Headshots –

A photographer will be on hand to take professional headshots of Prairie View A&M University (08/19/2024) and (08/20/2024). These photos will be available for PVAMU marketing materials, websites, brochures, flyers, etc.

This photo opportunity is encouraged for new employees and those who have not taken photographs at PVAMU. The recommendation is that men and women wear white shirts with navy, gray, or black suits. Ties should be purple, navy, blue, or green. Dresses should have the same color scheme.

HOW TO ACCESS CONFERENCE APP:

  2. After the following screen displays, click HERE to Login:
  3. Enter your PVAMU email address and password (REMINDER: This password is not associated with your PVAMU Single-Sign On account). If you previously used Accelevents, but don’t remember your password, click the Forgot Password link. Email ciits@pvamu.edu if you have technical issues.

Attendee FAQs  

1.       How do I register for the event?

  • Click the above conference flyer to register or CLICK HERE.

2.      Am I required to register for the event? It is highly recommended for the best event experience and to be eligible for prizes.

3.      How do I access event sessions? The event is in-person, and attendees can access the event schedule, which includes location by logging into -Accelevents-.

4.      What is Accelevents? Accelevents is a virtual platform to help attendees of conferences and other events learn, network, and engage remotely. PV is utilizing Accelevents for event. Accelevents allows you to log into one convenient location to view the event schedule and interact with your colleagues.

5.      What is my Accelevents password? If you have previously logged into Accelevents and forgotten your password, you will need to reset your password using the Forgot Password link. If you are a new user, you will be asked to set up a password after entering your PV email.

6.      My Accelevents password is not working; whom should I contact? Please utilize the Forgot Password link on the Accelevents page.

7.      Can I use the Accelevents App on my smartphone to attend the event? Yes, you can use the Accelevents app or go to the -Accelevents Event Website-, but you will only have access to register, access the event schedule, interact with attendees, post to discussion/chats, and receive presentation information for speakers.

8.      Do I have to be logged into Accelevents and attending the event to be eligible to win the giveaways? Yes, you must be logged in to be eligible to win prizes.

9.      Am I required to attend all sessions? No, you are not required to attend all sessions, nor are you required to attend the event, but we highly encourage all staff to attend those sessions that will be most beneficial to them.

10.    I want to attend a session but am unavailable. Will the event be recorded? No! The entire event is in-person and will not be recorded.

11.     Can non-PVAMU faculty or staff attend the event? No, the event is designed specifically for PVAMU faculty and staff .

12.    How do I signup for headshots? Professional Headshots will be available for staff in the Memorial Student Center Rm 203 on August 19, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, and on August 20 from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. CLICK HERE to sign up for headshot appointments.

Door Prizes:

  • How can I win? There are 2 ways: 1) Complete registration and 2) Turn in your passport after collecting stickers and stamps.
  • When will door prizes be passed out? There are 2 opportunities: 1) Day-1 at the end of the conference from 4:35 pm-4:50 pm and 2) Day-2 at the end of the Booth Exhibit 2:00 pm.
  • Do I have to be present to win? YES, for Day-1. NO, for Day-2.
  • How do passports work? Using the passport to collect stickers during breakouts and stamps during the booth exhibit. Turning the passport on Day-2 after attending 2 breakout sessions and visiting at least 10 booths.
