The Texas Rangers, 2023 World Series Champions, will be on campus to share information about the Charley Pride Fellowship Program. The Charley Pride Fellowship Program is a 10 week paid internship program for juniors and seniors currently enrolled in an undergraduate program.
Also, Executives from the Major League Baseball will be on hand to share information about various HBCU initiative including the Texas Rangers, second annual HBCU Diamond Day and the HBCU Swingman Classic. The HBCU Swingman Classic is an annual MLB All-Star Week experience for 50 student-athletes from Division 1 programs at Historically Black Colleges & Universities to compete on a national stage.
Additionally, the Texas Rangers will bring along the 2023 World Series Commissioner’s Trophy with them during this visit.
This event will take place in the Panther Room of the Blackshear Stadium on April 1, 2024 from 11:30am-1:30pm.
