The School of Public and Allied Health monthly ‘Lunch and Learn’ event will feature Dr. Nathan Lott, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Lott attended Prairie View A&M University from 1998 to 2002 and pursued a major in Biology with a pre-med focus and a minor in Chemistry. He was a member of the ‘Marching Storm’ and served as drum major from 2000 to 2002.

Following his graduation from Prairie View, Dr. Lott pursued a post-baccalaureate program at Ohio University before entering Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Throughout his time in medical school, he actively participated in the Student National Medical Association, assuming various roles at the local, regional, and national levels. Upon graduating from OU-HCOM, he completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training at Doctors Hospital. During this period, he became board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine. It was also during this time that he became involved in a newly found organization called “Tour for Diversity,” which focused on mentoring underrepresented minorities interested in pursuing a career in medicine.

Dr. Lott held clinical appointments at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Texas A&M University College of Medicine, and Baylor College of Medicine as an Associate Professor of Medicine. In addition to his clinical work, he has actively contributed to medical education and research.
