The Good Neighbor Waiver application for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year is now officially open! If you received the waiver last year and wish to apply again, please ensure your application is submitted by March 10, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
In this announcement, you will find the application form. Kindly complete and submit it before the deadline.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the Good Neighbor Waiver, applicants must:
- Be a non-resident of the United States of America.
- Be a native-born citizen and current resident of a nation within the Western Hemisphere (excluding Cuba).
- Intend to return to your home country upon completion of your academic program.
- Be unconditionally admitted to an eligible public institution in the State of Texas.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined by the institution.
