Convergence research in Food–Energy–Water Security & Sustainability, integrating field sensing, geospatial analytics, and decision-support systems to advance water security, sustainable agriculture, and resilient infrastructure through community-focused pilots across Texas and the Gulf Coast.

Advanced Materials for Renewable Energy

Combine ML with first‑principles modeling to accelerate discovery of materials for energy conversion, storage, and radiation‑hard devices—paired with prototype characterization.

Trustworthy AI & Social Justice

Advance robust, privacy‑preserving, and explainable AI; validate with digital twins in grid/autonomy; embed socio‑technical fairness with social sciences and justice studies.

Reproductive Health Equity

Design trauma‑informed interventions, expand prevention and access, and translate evidence to practice with partners in Nursing, Public Health, Engineering, Education, and Justice Studies.
