  • First Places in Doctoral Research in both the 2015 and the 2016 Texas A&M University System Pathways Student Research Symposiums
  • Multiple students were awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year in College of Engineering at PVAMU in consecutive years (2015-2018)
  • Ms. De’Ahna Johnson, a graduate research assistant in the CREDIT center, was selected as one of 417 finalists (out of 6,370 applications) for the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program
  • Mr. Rody Fwamba, one of the undergraduate students in the CREDIT center has received a travel award for the 2018 Emerging Researchers National (ERN) Conference in STEM, due to his research work in the CREDIT center. Mr. Rody Fwamba was also one of the summer interns at DOD labs in 2017
  • Capitol presentation at Austin representing PVAMU in March 2017
  • Two graduate research assistants in the CREDIT center, won the NSF Travel Award to present research papers in professional conferences
  • Mr. Damilola Adesina, one of our graduate students won Doctoral Research Award in 2018 Texas A&M University System Pathways Student Research Symposium

  • 15, 20, 29 high school students participated in 2016, 2017, 2018, respectively
  • provided selected students with instruction in math, science and engineering similar in content to that encountered by an engineering student
  • During the closing of the program, high school students were showing their interest to join our undergraduate engineering program, and many of them were asking if we will have this summer program next year

            • Dr. Chapman has given keynote speeches in multiple flagship conferences and workshops
            • Dr. Huang won 2016 Outstanding Researcher of the Year Award, CoE, PVAMU.
              Promoted to tenured Associate Professor in 2018.
            • Dr. Li won 2017 Outstanding Researcher of the Year Award, CoE, PVAMU
            • Dr. Qian named Texas A&M University System Regents Professor in 2018.
