Professional Experience

Dianne Reed is a clinical instructor and educational leadership program co-coordinator at The Whitlowe R. Green College of Education at Prairie View A&M University.  She has worked in the field of education for 4 decades. She worked in the public schools of Texas (PK-12) setting for 23 years in the positions of teacher (general and special education), educational diagnostician, counselor, assistant principal, and principal. She has worked in higher education for 20+ years. She has taught master’s and doctoral courses in educational leadership programs for principal and superintendent preparation, counseling preparation, and special education preparation. She retired from Houston Christian University in the positions of director and author of the executive educational leadership doctoral program and professor of education. She was previously employed at and retired from Sam Houston State University where she served in the positions of coordinator of the principal preparation program and tenured associate professor of education in both the master of education and doctor of education in educational leadership programs. She has served in the position of educational consultant for school districts, universities, and community colleges statewide and in the Houston area. She has been involved in authoring grants from the Department of Education, National Science Foundation, and the McKay Foundation as well as university funded grants. She is the author and co-author of more than 95 publications in educational journals, books, technical manuals, and presentations. She has served as chair and committee member on more than 100 dissertations.
