We regret to inform you of the death of Dr. Patricia A. Smith, former Associate Professor and Director of Student Teaching in the Whitlowe R. Green College of Education. Dr. Smith, Pat as she was so affectionately called, was a dedicated and passionate educator who will be remembered fondly by her former students and colleagues.
On Dec. 14, 2019, Genesis Cortez will become the third member of her family to earn the honor of becoming alumni of Prairie View A&M University. She will receive her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Whitlowe R. Green College of Education.
