Ms PVAMU IN MASK1on1 1200x1200

To reduce the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), all PVAMU employees, students, and visitors are encouraged to Mask Up while visiting any of the university’s campuses. Our commitment through Panthers Push Forward is to use awareness, engagement, and outreach to thrive in a safe environment, and for PVAMU students, faculty, and staff to feel empowered to continue on this journey of achieving excellence and relevance in teaching, research, and service.

HOW TO WEAR A FACE MASK CORRECTLY

  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before putting on your mask.

  • Put the mask over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin.

  • Fit the mask snugly against the sides of your face, slipping the loops over your ears or tying the strings behind your head.

  • If you have to continually adjust your mask, it doesn’t fit properly, and you might need to find a different mask type or brand.

  • Make sure you can breathe easily.

HOW TO REMOVE A FACE MASK CAREFULLY

  • Untie the strings behind your head or stretch the ear loops.
  • Handle the mask only by the ear loops or ties.
  • Fold the outside of the corners together.
  • Place the mask in the washing machine.
  • Be careful not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth when removing, and wash your hands immediately after removing the mask.
