Texas A&M University System graduate Donathan Brown, Ph.D., visited Prairie View A&M University Feb. 12-13, to further his mission of diversifying the faculty at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). The private doctoral university in Rochester, New York, hired Brown last April as its inaugural assistant provost and assistant vice president for faculty diversity and recruitment. He left a tenured teaching position at Ithaca College to join RIT because it afforded him a long-awaited opportunity to make a difference in the educational experience of students and faculty.
