PVAMU WI-FI  UPGRADE

CITE continues to improve the wireless experience.   

Effective September 8, 2023, the way to connect to wireless will change. Below is the list of wireless networks and their primary purposes.   

We do ask that you continue to use PVMOBILENET until September 8th.  

The list of networks available to the PVAMU community are: 

The PV-Faculty/Staff network – This is for PVAMU owned and managed devices only.  The password for this network can be found on the intranet. 

The PV-Student network – this network is for students, faculty and staff who bring their own personal device i.e. phone, tablet, laptop. This network has no access to internal PVAMU resources and is not available in residential areas. The password for this network can be found in PvPlace.  

The PVAMU-Guest network is intended for all non-PVAMU campus visitors. You will have to register with your phone and email to access this network. 

The PvMobilenet network – is the current mobile network and should be used until September 8th. 

The Eduroam network – coming soon. 

(Upon completion of this project, PvMobilenet will be going away.) 

WI-FI NETWORK UPGRADE SCHEDULE 

The “PV-Faculty/Staff and PV-Student” Wi-Fi network have been implemented and is available in the following buildings. 

The following buildings are in progress to be completed by 9/6/2023 

The following buildings will be completed by 9/8/2023
