CITE (Center for Information Technology Excellence) is hosting a contest to enhance Cybersecurity Awareness. Entrants must create a flyer or a 30-second video highlighting the ways of staying safe online or phishing. This contest is open to Prairie View A&M University students, faculty & staff. Students will be judged separately from Faculty & Staff. Six winners will be selected, the top 3 of each group. First place will receive a $100 gift card, second place will receive a $50 gift card and third place will receive a $25 gift card. Any prizes won by a team must share their winnings amongst their team. CITE Staff is not eligible to submit entries for the contest. Winners will also be featured on all CITE social platforms during Cybersecurity Awareness month in October 2022.

The awards are community-driven, meaning the winners will be selected based on which posts receive the most likes. All qualified entries will be posted to the CITE Instagram – @PVAMU_CITE and the CITE Facebook page – PVAMU Center for Information Technology Excellence. Voting is open to everyone with access to an Instagram or Facebook account. Voters will have three days to show their support for their favorite entry. Voters are not restricted to voting on just one platform. CITE Staff will total the number of likes on each entry across the two platforms, Facebook and Instagram, on each entry to determine the winners. Entrants are encouraged to share the post of their work from CITE’s Instagram and Facebook pages to increase their chances of winning. The entry with the most likes for flyer or video will be awarded first prize. The deadline for submissions is October 7th, 2022. Winners will be announced on October 14th.
