FBIFBI Honors Internship Program Overview

The FBI Honors Internship Program (HIP) is a paid internship program that offers undergraduate and graduate students throughout the nation, an opportunity at an insider’s view of the FBI. This program allows students to work for the summer months at FBI Headquarters, the FBI Academy, CJIS or selected 56 field offices exploring career opportunities side by side with FBI employees.

This is a ten-week program with the following student prerequisites:
•Must be a U.S. citizen
•Must be attending a college or university that is accredited by one of the regional or national institutional associations recognized by the United States Secretary of Education
•Must be classified as an undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate student enrolled full-time at the time of application
•Must have at the time of application and maintain throughout the program a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale and be in good standing with their academic institution
•Must be able to meet all FBI employment requirements as well as be able to pass an FBI Background Investigation to receive Top Secret Security Clearance

Interns are drawn from a wide range of educational disciplines and are not limited to the critical skill degrees deemed competitive for the SA position.
