February 18 – In celebration of the newly renovated Worthing High School, Houston Independent School District hosted a grand reopening ceremony for students and the community to show off the new additions recently made to the school. With Prairie View A&M’s Cooperative Extension Program being very active in the Sunnyside community where Worthing High School is located, Harris County 4-H & Youth Development Agent Jeremy Peaches attended the event to represent the university and be a resource for students hoping to one day study agriculture.  Also, in attendance was 4-H & Youth Development Program Leader for CEP, Dr. Rukeia Draw-Hood and The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program EFNEP’s Nutrition Education Associate for CEP, Patricia Colbert.

Watch here as Peaches shares how he plans to help Worthing High School students reach their fullest potential.

This work is supported by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture, 1890 Extension Formula under Section 1444.
