8th and 9th graders from Houston ISD and Spring Branch ISD visited our campus on Thursday August 3, 2017. Part of their visited included the International Goat Research Center and the Green House area. Mr. Scott Horner, Ms. Chandra Adams, and Williams Foxworth, and Alphina Ho-Watson interacted with the students and gave them an overview of the research activities conducted at the center.
During their visit of the Green House Area, Associate Director of Research Ali Fares welcomed the visitors and gave them a brief over view of the Land Grant System and the role of the Cooperative Agricultural Research Center. Drs. Peter Ampim and Aruna Weerasooriya gave the participants detailed overview of the crop production and Medicinal Plant Research activities taking place at the Research Farm.
