Empowering Homeownership
According to real estate leaders and government housing agencies, high-quality housing counseling and education are essential for a positive homeownership experience. Housing is vital in most communities, providing a sense of place and supporting basic needs for a sustainable lifestyle.

Homeownership Done Right Success Stories & Testimonials
The Jones home purchase yielded 40K in equity before stepping foot into their new home with a 2.75% interest rate. “Since starting the process, Eisha (Liberty County CED Extension Agent) put us on a strict budget. We paid off all our debt in the process, and we are grateful she made it possible for our family to purchase a home of our own”. – The Jones Family, First-time homebuyers
What seems like a nightmare turned into a blessing of $9,960 in a down-payment and closing cost assistance. The Sanders family started their quest for homeownership by reaching out to Nate Peterson (CED Program Specialist). After a few counseling and educational sessions, the family organized their finances, eliminated significant debt, and increased their savings to prepare for homeownership. As a result, the family secured a low-interest rate and bought a newly constructed home. “Nate was patient and knowledgeable about the home buying process, and he was our go-to source for reliable information and resources. Without his motivation and help, we would have given up throughout this challenging process.” The Sanders Family, First-time homebuyers
