Core Laboratories at CARC Empower Researchers
Managed by Dr. Selamawit Woldesenbet, the Core Laboratories are a centralized technology-based hub that maintains and support advanced molecular biology, analytical chemistry, and microbiology equipment for use by Cooperative Agricultural Research Center (CARC) scientists and researchers The Core facilities provide access and training to state-of-the-art equipment in a cost- and time-effective way. In addition, support researchers to develop new technologies and transfer their technical and research expertise to the numerous scientists at CARC. As such, the equipment and facilities are vital components of the ecosystem for transformative and translational research.
The Core Laboratories are maintained by three personnel remain dedicated to providing Scientists and Researchers the cutting-edge technology needs to enhance their production of data, results, and impactful new knowledge. We take extensive measures to ensure the highest quality services and data are provided to all our scientists and researchers. We also continue to develop and acquire advanced technologies that complement our existing equipment and services and disseminate availability of these technologies to our scientists to optimize the performance of service to the research industry.
TRAINING
The CARC Core facilities also house specialized instruments and provide training and technical support.
OWN YOUR RESEARCH
- As part of the CARC Core Laboratories, our expert staff members give effective training for our users on all equipment suitable for independent research use.
- Users need to design their experiment and know the conditions for the methods that are specific to their sample/research based on the literature search and expert reviews.
- Users are encouraged to work independently when possible and our support staff will always be there to offer ongoing technical support and advice when needed.
