Prairie View, TX – Behind the success of the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences are talented faculty and staff that stand ready to accomplish the Their efforts are felt widely, and we want to make sure they are noticed for all the demanding work they do. It is why Mr. and Miss CAHS, Charles Carpenter III, and Taylor Stewart, are introducing CAHS Spotlight, a video series that features a faculty or staff member they believe has helped them grow during their time at PVAMU.

First, up for CAHS Spotlight is Yolanda Jones, Administrative Associate for Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Kwaku Addo, Ph.D. Jones has been with the college for 22 years and works closely with the faculty, staff, and students. As a Prairie View, TX native, the college has been her neighborhood her entire life, and her family’s work in agriculture influenced her decision to join the college.

“Ms. Jones was chosen to receive this honor due to her hard work and diligence displayed daily,” Carpenter said. “She assists a multitude of agriculture students with registration. This oftentimes can be exceedingly difficult with the volume of students, but she does what she can to help us graduate on time. Ms. Jones does not disappoint with this effort and approaches each situation with a graceful attitude. We are appreciative that she accepted the award and are grateful to be able to recognize such an amazing person here at the prestigious Prairie View A&M University!”
