When we think of Black History Month, we often think of trailblazers from our past. Those who have made monumental strides in the lives of others, those pioneers are gone, but maybe not forgotten, during the month of February. While we pay homage to those early discoverers, the difference-makers of yesteryear-we should also recognize those history makers who are still here, they walk among us, rarely giving way to the impact they’ve had on the lives of others. We are not only proud to share with you a new series, sparked by one of our own, but invite you to read about Carlyon Williams, Ph.D., and learn about this trailblazer who was highlighted by the agency to which she has devoted most of her life. The CEO and President of the National 4-H Council, Jennifer Sirangelo kicked off their new Black History Month Series with an interview featuring our own Dr. Williams.
