Prairie View A&M University senior finance student Brenda Bermudez placed second in the HBCU National Stock Market Challenge. Over 460 students from more than 30 schools participated in the months-long event from October 2018 through March 2019.
“It was a tremendous pleasure to be able to represent our university,” said Bermudez.
Bermudez’s winnings totaled $1,000 as a result of her silver place finish. She also received pre-interview coaching and a fast-track final round interview for full-time employment with FactSet, a financial data and software company headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut.
