, Texas (April 8, 2024) – “To live in color means to move through moments, challenges, decisions and goals with a childlike presence.” That was the backdrop for Prairie View A&M University’s fourth TED talk, “Living in Color,” hosted on Feb. 28.

TEDxPVAMU debuted on PVAMU’s YouTube channel today, as well as the TEDx platform, featuring talks by:

  • Kristen Collins ‘15, ‘18, entrepreneur and chemist
  • Bryan Robertson ‘08, ‘09, mental health advocate and author
  • Cory Dixon ‘04, photographer
  • Cynthia Lester ’94, computer scientist and educator
  • Jarren Small ‘12, educator and philanthropist

“Our speakers, all PVAMU alumni, brought brilliance to the TEDxPVAMU platform. Their expertise speaks for itself,” said PVAMU Biology Professor, director of the PVAMU Honors Program, and co-organizer of the TEDx event, Dr. Quincy Moore, III. “Their talks are now exposed to 40.4 million subscribers.”

In past years, TEDxPVAMU brought “Food for Thought” in 2023, “Becoming an Outlier” in 2022 and “Unlock Your Mind” in 2021. Past events are available on the University’s official YouTube channel and TED.com.
