PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (July 15, 2020) – Prairie View A&M University held a virtual Student Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday to answer students’ questions regarding the Fall 2020 return-to-campus plans and campus adjustments due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Drs. Timothy Sams, vice president for Student Affairs, James Palmer, provost and senior vice president for Academic Affairs, and Sarina Willis, vice president for Enrollment Management, hosted the nearly two-hour-long meeting for new and returning students.

Topics included changes within the academic, student, and residential experiences, conduct and training expectations, and ongoing safety efforts on campus.

In May, the Texas A&M University System announced the System’s 11 university campuses, including PVAMU, would reopen in the fall, employing a mixture of face-to-face, online, and hybrid learning.

PVAMU is scheduled to start the semester as planned on August 24 and end face-to-face instruction at the end of the day on November 24. Classes, including coursework, review days, and final exams, will resume solely online after Thanksgiving Break on November 30.
