At 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, the Prairie View A&M University College of Nursing will host the 2018 Founders’ Day and Honors Recognition Convocation in the William “Billy” J. Nicks, Sr.  Building (Baby Dome). The event celebrates the academic achievement of our students as well as the founding of our beloved University, and the theme is, “A Tradition of Excellence: Honoring our Past and Navigating our Future.” 2018 marks 100 years of service from the College of Nursing, “I encourage all PVAMU students, faculty and staff members to attend Convocation,” said Dr. James Palmer, interim provost and senior vice president for Academic Affairs.

Dr. Romeatrius Moss has been tapped as the keynote speaker. An active duty Air Force Nurse, Moss currently holds the rank of Major. She is also the founder, president, and CEO of Black Nurses Rock. An award-winning philanthropist and community advocate, Moss owns RNM Marketing and Public Relations, Boss Nurse Club, Hot 104.5 the Nurses Station, and Boss Nurse Scrubs. She is a leading expert in health profession branding and mentorship programs, having inspired and mentored over 50,000 nurses. In addition, Dr. Moss has helped, coached, or influenced the development of over 2,500 new businesses among nurses.
