Tondra L. Moore, Ph.D., JD, MPH
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (September 7, 2022) – Prairie View A&M University Executive Director of Health Services Tondra L. Moore, Ph.D., has been elected to serve as chair of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Coalition – American College Health Association for 2022-2023. In addition to her new role to increase the visibility and engagement of HBCUs, Dr. Moore plans to use her tenure to fortify the coalition’s infrastructure, increase membership and actively recruit more HBCUs to collectively engage in the discourse surrounding college health.
As one of its first major initiatives, the ACHA HBCU Coalition invites PVAMU employees to join a webinar covering strategies to respond to, manage and mitigate the spread of the MPV (monkeypox) on college campuses. Drawing upon years of experience serving underserved populations, the speakers for this event will provide a multicultural lens to help college campuses prepare.
