As we approach the close of the spring semester, Prairie View A&M University is mourning the loss of students, Mr. Christopher Chappell and Tristan Houston, who passed away late last week.  Chappell, a junior double major in communications and theater arts was a native of Montgomery, Alabama. Chappell relocated to Houston in 2007, where he eventually attended and graduated from Cy-Fair High School in 2014.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Freewill Missionary Baptist Church, 1724 Hill Street, Montgomery, Alabama.

Mr. Tristan Houston, junior kinesiology major from Beasley, Texas was an aspiring football coach. Funeral arrangements are forthcoming.
