Chavan Mosley
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (Feb. 11, 2026) — Prairie View A&M University announces with deep sorrow the passing of Chavan Mosley, a maintenance technician (carpentry) with SSC Services for Education, which provides facilities services to the University.
Mr. Mosley devoted nearly three decades of service to the PVAMU community. His dedication was reflected in exemplary work in facilities management and an unwavering attention to detail that supported the daily operations of campus life.
Beyond his professional contributions, Mr. Mosley was well known throughout the University community for his spirited energy, warm presence, and steadfast commitment to colleagues, students, and staff.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, in the Opal Johnson Smith Auditorium at the Willie A. Tempton Memorial Student Center. A repast will follow in the Memorial Student Center Ballroom. Mr. Mosley’s earthly place of rest will be Prairie View Cemetery.
