PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (Feb. 8, 2023) – The Prairie View A&M University Football Program, under the direction of second-year Head Coach Bubba McDowell, revealed their 2023 schedule during National Signing Day. The eleven-game schedule includes four home games at Panther Stadium and seven games away.

The Panthers open up the season with Texas Southern University on Sept. 2 for the annual Labor Day Classic, leading into their first non-conference game against Abilene Christian University on Sept. 9.

Upon the opening of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, the Panthers play another two games, followed by the State Fair Classic at the Cotton Bowl on Sept. 30, where the Panthers will go head-to-head with Grambling State University.

The season continues as they play another top three teams, including Mississippi Valley and Florida A&M University, in October. Following those games, the Panthers will host the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions for Homecoming on Nov. 4. The Panthers close out their season by hosting Alabama State on Nov. 18 as their last game before the SWAC Championship.

The season should be a good one for the Panthers, with 18 recruits garnered from National Signing Day on Feb. 2.

The Panthers added four wide receivers, three defensive linemen, three offensive linemen, two defensive backs, two running backs, two linebackers, one tight end and one kicker/punter. See the complete list of new players here.

McDowell and his staff are sure this season will be their best one yet.
