PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (Aug. 29, 2023) – The 2023 football season for Prairie View A&M University Football officially begins this Saturday, September 2. The annual Labor Day Classic football game with Texas Southern University has a 7 p.m. kickoff inside the Shell Energy Stadium in Houston.
On Monday, TSU hosted the annual Labor Day press conference with Prairie View A&M Head Football Coach Bubba McDowell and their head coach, Clarence McKinney, along with PVAMU Athletic Director Anton Goff and TSU Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Kevin Granger.
The master of ceremonies was Fox 26 Houston’s Nate Griffin of “Making the Grade.”
On Wednesday is the Prairie View A&M | Texas Southern Labor Day Classic Luncheon hosted by Touchdown Club of Houston. Both head football coaches, as well as both school presidents, will speak. Tickets are $35 each, and tables seating ten each are available at $350 (regular table) or $500 (Purple or Maroon Sponsors). Tickets can be purchased by using this link.
