“Lucy and Steve have both been dedicated long-time volunteer leaders for NACA and donors to the NACA® Foundation,” said Foundation Board of Trustees Chair Jon Dooley, Ph.D. “We are so glad they will be bringing their expertise to the Foundation Board of Trustees to help us strengthen our financial support for scholarships and research to advance our Association mission.”

According to its website, The NACA® Foundation was established in 1982 to develop and provide educational programs and services for college and university students, professional staff, and others who work in the field of student activities. Ransom, a past chair of the NACA Board of Directors, says he is proud to support this organization’s mission.

“As a member of the Foundation Board of Trustees, my role will be to assist in strengthening financial support for scholarships and research to advance the mission of the National Association for Campus Activities,” said Ransom. “Having had a 30-year career in campus activities, I am excited to assist the Foundation in fulfilling its goal of providing educational and professional advancement, leadership development, and research opportunities to advance this field.”

NACA’s Board of Trustees includes members from North Carolina, New Jersey, Connecticut, Iowa, New York, and Maryland, to name a few. Ransom, who has worked at PVAMU for 15 years, is the only board member from Texas.
