PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (July 24, 2025) – Prairie View A&M University Athletics is proud to announce two dynamic additions to its coaching roster with the hiring of Kortland Ware as Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach and Daniel Dulin as Head Baseball Coach. Both bring impressive records of success and a shared commitment to excellence on and off the field.

Kortland Ware Named Head Golf Coach

Kortland Ware

Kortland Ware

An accomplished professional golfer and program-builder, Ware joins PVAMU after a transformative stint as Director of Golf at Lincoln University (Mo.). In just two seasons, he elevated the men’s and women’s programs by enhancing facilities, producing competitive results, and earning national honors. In 2024, he was named the Non-Division I HBCU Coach of the Year by the Black College Golf Coaches Association and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). His leadership also helped Lincoln earn the GCAA’s 2024 Mark Laesch Award for most improved stroke average.

Ware’s 2023–24 highlights included leading the Lincoln women to two tournament wins, including a victory at the National Women’s Collegiate Championship, and coaching Kaathi Gunasegar to LPGA Pro-Am participation alongside world No. 1 Nelly Korda. On the men’s side, his team secured multiple podium finishes, including at the PGA WORKS Championship.

“Coach Ware is a dynamic leader and competitor who has a clear vision for developing championship-level golf programs,” said PVAMU Director of Athletics Anton Goff. “His ability to elevate both performance and culture is exactly what we need as we continue to grow our golf programs into national contenders.”

Ware, a former SWAC Individual Champion and professional golfer with five mini-tour wins, also led the development of Lincoln’s on-campus KWAME Golf Center. He earned his degree from Lincoln University and previously served as the school’s Director of Advancement.

“I am absolutely thrilled to step into the role of the head men’s and women’s golf coach at Prairie View A&M!” said Ware. “This opportunity means so much to me, as I get to continue to guide and inspire a new generation of talented athletes. My mission is to create an environment filled with energy, teamwork, and passion, where every player feels empowered to grow and shine. Together, we’ll embrace challenges, celebrate victories, and forge lasting bonds that extend beyond the golf course. I can’t wait to embark on this exciting journey with our incredible community and make unforgettable memories along the way!”

Daniel Dulin Named Head Baseball Coach

Daniel Dulin

Daniel Dulin

Dulin arrives from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he served as an assistant coach, following a successful run at Southern University. While at Southern, he helped guide the Jaguars to two SWAC Championship game appearances, a 2022 Western Division title, and the 2021 SWAC Tournament Championship. Under his leadership, Southern’s offense ranked nationally in on-base percentage and was consistently among the conference’s top programs in several offensive and defensive categories.

With over a decade of coaching experience spanning NCAA Division I and junior college levels, Dulin brings a reputation for player development and championship-caliber leadership. His prior coaching stops include Highland Community College (as head coach), Murray State University, Hutchinson Community College, and Coffeyville Community College.

“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Dulin to Prairie View A&M,” said Goff. “He brings a strong foundation in building competitive programs and has demonstrated a commitment to academic and athletic excellence throughout his career. His energy, vision, and values align perfectly with where we are headed as a department.”

“I’m incredibly honored to take the reins of the Prairie View A&M baseball program,” said Dulin. “We’re going to build something special here, focusing on player development and competing at a championship level, graduating our student-athletes, and fostering a culture that represents PVAMU with pride.”

Dulin, a former collegiate second baseman, holds degrees from Fort Hays State University and Pittsburg State University. He officially begins his duties on July 28 as preparations for the 2026 season begin.
