#SWACGOLF Prairie View A&M claims back-to-back Men's Golf Championships
Final Results
ALEXANDRIA, La.- The Prairie View A&M Panthers clinched back-to-back titles with 2019 SWAC Golf Championships Low Medalist Laurence Crea leading the way shooting two over par against a highly competitive field.
In all, the Panthers placed a total of four golfers inside the top ten on their way to claiming back-to-back titles for the first time in decades. Entering the day leading by 13 strokes PVAMU withstood a valiant Alabama State comeback attempt as Thacher Neal paced the team shooting one over in the final round.
Neal would subsequently be named 2019 SWAC Men’s Golf Freshman Low Medalist of the Year. 2019 SWAC Men’s Golf Coach of the Year honors were shared by Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s Roger Totten and Prairie View A&M’s Kevin Jennings.
