National Hispanic Month

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (October 15, 2020) – Today wraps up the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month! Professors in the Foreign Language Program at Prairie View A&M University put together the following reading list to help us celebrate.

“Although these books are not currently being used in our classes, we would like to expose students to well-known Hispanic authors and explore the many genres Hispanic authors are represented in,” said Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Foreign Language Program Sumor Sheppard. “Most Americans are not even aware of these international writers and classics, so we wanted to contribute a modern list that shows the breadth of work. We hope that our community might explore some of these titles and experience the work of these writers!”
