CAMERON CHAMP: After everything with George Floyd, I walked out the next day, and some people understood it. But within five minutes, I’m on the range, and three older gentlemen asked me why I’m out wearing two different color shoes. So for me, right there says it all. It says why I’m wearing them, to CBS Sports Network bring awareness that this is a topic that for a lot of people, even still now, is very uncomfortable. People say it was a long time ago. I go, there’s still people living from that generation, so it isn’t that long ago. It’s not. A big piece of the conversation became access, and systemic racism, and oppression, and ultimately, it trickledown into this conversation about historically Black colleges and universities. Yeah.
