HOUSTON – At NRG Stadium, the vibrant culture and deep-rooted traditions of Historically Black College and University (HBCU) marching bands took center stage during the 2025 Pepsi National Battle of the Bands Saturday evening. The event celebrates the rich heritage of HBCU band culture—an integral part of Black art and music.
A Fever Dream with HBCU flavor: In the music video, released on Friday, Scott uses “The Marching Storm” from Prairie View A&M. Scott grew up in Houston, which is 52 miles away from the city of Prairie View.
