Lieutenant Kyle Brogdon

Junior/Senior Class Advisor

Lieutenant Brogdon is a graduate of Biola University, with a B.S. in Business Marketing and Management. He was selected for Officer Candidate School in early 2014 and received his commission later that year in December 2014.

Following his commissioning, he completed Aviation Pre-flight Indoctrination at NAS Pensacola, Primary Flight Training with Training Squadron TWO-EIGHT (VT-28) at NAS Corpus Christi, and Advanced Helicopter Flight Training with Helicopter Training Squadron EIGHTEEN (HT-18) at NAS Whiting Field. LT Brogdon was then designated a Naval Aviator on 14 DEC 2016, receiving orders to fly the MH-60S Knighthawk out of Naval Station Norfolk.

He began his qualification in the MH-60S at Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWO (HSC-2) in January 2017 and began his first Sea Tour at Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWO SIX (HSC-26) in July 2018.

While assigned to HSC-26, he participated in Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Sentinel during two deployments to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility, providing critical logistical support and combat readiness to U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in the Arabian Gulf.

LT Brogdon joined the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Houston Consortium in October 2021 as Assistant Professor of Naval Science and class advisor for Juniors and Seniors at the Prairie View unit.
