Alumnus Brian G. Cokes is a 3-time Prairie View A&M University graduate – Bachelor’s, Architecture (’98); Master’s, Community Development (’15); and Master’s, Architecture (’19). He’s also currently enrolled in the Urban Planning Doctoral Program at Texas Southern University.

Although Brian’s only been working as Director of Campus Planning & Space Management for two years on The Hill, take a look at the list of 17 new and upcoming projects he’s involved in with his team, either as project lead or as a key member of the University’s planning committee.

1. School of Architecture Fabrication Center
2. Sustainable Efficient Envelope Design Lab (SEED Lab) – to research the effects of building envelope design on energy use. The SEED Lab is comprised of two testing modules to be sited to the south of the new fabrication center at the Prairie View A&M School of Architecture.

4. African American History Museum inside H.T. Jones Elementary School
5. Intramural Sports Field
6. Baby Dome: new ticket booth, additional restrooms, men’s & women’s locker rooms, new video board
7. Army/Naval ROTC Building

10. PVAMU Art Program: Document all art on campus and get it appraised; make it part of campus art collection; commission artists to create art, murals, and exterior art
11. Student Housing: Phase 9 will have 555 beds

13. Digital Media Room on 3rd floor of J.B. Coleman Library
14. Student Amphitheater: Where Alumni Hall used to be so students can have live performances.
