Prairie View A&M University and the PVAM Foundation have launched a reimagined partnership that centralizes all charitable giving through the Foundation. This change simplifies the donation process, improves stewardship, and ensures every gift supports the University’s strategic goals.

The collaboration strengthens PVAMU’s fundraising infrastructure and long-term sustainability, empowering the University to invest more deeply in student success, faculty excellence, and innovative programs.

Gift Fee on Donations

  • Will there still be a 6% gift fee on donations?
    No. Donations will no longer incur the 6% gift fee, maximizing the impact of every dollar you give.

Automatic Payments & Recurring Gifts

  • What happens if I have an automatic payment or recurring gift set up with the University?
    The University Advancement Office will contact all individuals with automatic or recurring gifts set up through the University to assist in transitioning their gifts to be processed through the Foundation. You can expect to be contacted by July 1, 2025.

  • If I have an automatic payment or recurring gift set up with the Foundation, is there anything I need to do?
    No. Your automatic payment or recurring gift will be processed as usual.
  • What is the deadline for transitioning my recurring gift?
    The current university online donation platform will be phased out, so it’s important to transition your recurring gift to be processed through the PVAM Foundation as soon as possible. Transitioning your gift now will ensure there are no disruptions to your support and help avoid any potential issues moving forward.
  • How do I update my giving preferences (e.g., amount, frequency)?

    Yes! The PVAM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting Prairie View A&M University. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
