Black High School Football Exhibit Opening and Reception
Wednesday, 2-4 p.m., Oct. 7

The exhibit, “Remembering the Past With Pride,” focuses on the football programs of the Prairie View Interscholastic League which existed from 1920-1970 and was launched by PVAMU officials to govern athletic, academic, and music competitions for the state’s black high schools during segregation. On display will be vintage images, trophies, news clips, uniforms, and much more. View the display and meet new Cultural Center director Michael Hurd.
