Panther Pride Pep Rally

10 – 11:30 AM

  • Crowd games & trivia with prizes e.g., best spirit wear, most spirited family
  • Family chants practice led by the band and mascots

Tailgate Party

11:30 AM – 5 PM

  • Live DJ
  • Food for registered attendees. Food trucks may be available at a separate cost on campus
  • Fellowship, engagement, & family-friendly games

Football Game

5 – 9 PM
Panther Stadium

  • Pregame show featuring the world-famous PVAMU Marching Storm
  • Halftime extravaganza with performances and acknowledgment of family guests
  • Special sections for families with interactive activities e.g., trivia, giveaways

We’re excited to welcome our parents and families to campus! Please review the FAQs below to help you prepare for the Parent & Family Tailgate and game-day activities. We look forward to welcoming our Panther families to campus for a fun and memorable game-day experience!

Registration and Guests

Yes. Advance online registration is required to participate in the Parent & Family Tailgate. Space may be limited, so families are encouraged to register early.

Register through the official online registration link. During registration, you will be able to select the available package and optional add-ons.

Yes. Confirmation will be sent after your registration is successfully completed. Please keep your confirmation information for reference.

To add additional guests or add-ons after registering online, simply visit the registration link you used to register initially and select one or more of the add-on options. Keep all transaction confirmations for reference.

Yes, but all guests must complete the online registration and pay through the registration link. We want to ensure we are prepared to serve each registered guest, so it is important to register by the deadline.

Additional guests may be added if space is still available. Please do not assume that unregistered guests can be accommodated on the day of the event. Wristbands are required for access.

Yes. Parent & Family events are designed to welcome families. Please make sure children are included in your registration and select them as an add-on option to ensure they are accounted for during registration.

Add-ons for children vary by age. Please review the package details during registration.

Tailgate Location, Time and Seating

The official start time for the tailgate event is 10:00 a.m. Families are encouraged to arrive early enough to park and get settled.

The official tailgate location is in Tent City, located behind the Panther Football Stadium.

Yes. Families are encouraged to bring portable lawn chairs for additional seating. Please make sure chairs are easy to transport from your parking location to the tailgate area.

Limited seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Bringing a lawn chair is recommended for your comfort.

Personal tents and canopies are restricted.

Food and Dining

Food is included for two (2) adults in the Registration Package. For additional adults or children, please select the appropriate add-on options to ensure your meal is accounted for.

You can bring coolers and your own food. However, please be mindful that there is limited space under the tent as we are accommodating many families. We ask that coolers be placed outside of the tent to ensure space for all.

Families with dietary needs should indicate them during registration when an option is provided. While every effort may be made to accommodate dietary needs, specific meal options cannot always be guaranteed.

Food provided as part of the event is intended to be enjoyed during the designated meal and tailgate period. Availability after food service ends is not guaranteed.

Parking

Please utilize ParkMobile spots on campus; there are several available during game days.

Download the ParkMobile app, available through your device’s app store, or use the mobile web app if you do not have a smartphone. Sign up with your email, license plate number, and payment method. Once registered, you may begin using ParkMobile immediately to pay on the go.

No. Parking is not included in your registration or package.

Football Game Tickets

Football game tickets are sold separately from the Tailgate package and add-ons. To apply the $15.00 discount, use Code: PVFAM26 at https://pvpanthers.universitytickets.com/w/event.aspx?id=2071.

Student admission requirements are separate from Parent & Family Tailgate registration. Students should follow the University’s current student ticketing procedures.

Yes. Your package provides tailgate-only access. You are not required to attend the football game. However, Parent & Family activities will end when the game begins.
